El valor de dar

Hay quienes reparten, y les es añadido más; Y hay quienes retienen más de lo que es justo, pero vienen a pobreza.
El alma generosa será prosperada;
Y el que saciare, él también será saciado.
Y el que saciare, él también será saciado.
Proverbios 11:24-25:
Hay algunas palabras claves que aparecen en la Biblia y entre ellas están: Creer=272 veces, Orar=371 veces, Amar=714 veces y Dar=2.162 veces. Esto algo nos quiere decir: Dios está interesado en que aprendamos a dar como Él da.
El pasaje que leímos nos habla de que una promesa y una consecuencia cuando aprendemos a dar. Y no se preocupe no vamos a hablar solamente de dinero, porque en nuestra mentalidad materialista siempre cuando hablamos de dar automáticamente pensamos en el dinero. Esta vez no solo nos referiremos al dinero sino también a todo lo que Dios ha puesto en nuestras vidas. Déjeme darle tres razones de por qué debemos valorar el dar.
1. El dar me asemeja a Dios. Cuando damos nos parecemos a Él. Está en Su naturaleza dar; por esa razón el nos dice que le pidamos. (Mateo 7:7-11 y Juan 3:16). Pero obviamente no podemos dar de lo no tenemos. Quiero que me acompañe en su biblia a una historia muy interesante que está en el libro de Hechos 3:1-10. Esta historia habla de un hombre que necesitaba algo y de dos apóstoles que tenían algo que dar. No era plata ni era oro sino lo que Dios había puesto en sus corazones. Por esa razón Pedro le dice: “pero lo que tengo te doy”. Pedro al dar de lo que tenía (no tenía dinero, ni siquiera una Biblia) recibe más, porque después lo vemos sanando a la gente con su sombra!!!
2. El dar trae bendición y prosperidad. Prov. 11:24 dice que el que reparte se le añade más. Eso me dice que si yo quiero recibir más debo dar más. Si quiero más tiempo, qué debo hacer? Si quiero más cariño? Y si quiero atención? Y que tal si quiero más unción? Es válido para todo! Otro pasaje tal vez más conocido es 2 Cor. 9:6-7: El que siembra escasamente, también segará escasamente; y el que siembra generosamente, generosamente también segará. Cada uno dé como propuso en su corazón: no con tristeza, ni por necesidad, porque Dios ama al dador alegre. Si me atrevo a dar con fe y de manera generosa Dios me dice que cosecharé abundantemente. Al contrario, dice la Biblia que si retengo más de lo que es justo viene la pobreza. Y le tengo que recordar que no estamos hablando sólo de dinero. A veces decimos no tener tiempo para orar o para leer la Biblia, no tenemos tiempo para visitar o para hablarle a alguien de Cristo. Y cuando hacemos eso viene sobre nuestras vidas la pobreza espiritual.
a. Déjeme hablarle del Mar Muerto. Este lago se encuentra a 416m. bajo el nivel del mar. Es el lugar más bajo de la tierra. Y se le llama Mar Muerto porque recibe agua del Río Jordán y de otros afluentes pero no desemboca! Es decir se acumulan las sales que descienden de las montañas de Palestina y se acumulan en este lago provocando que sea imposible que se desarrolle vida en ese lugar. Sus aguas son tan saladas que no hay pez ni alga que soporte tal densidad de sal. Hay muchas personas que son como el Mar Muerto, sólo reciben y cómo les gusta recibir! Siempre están pensando en ellos mismos y se vuelven egoístas y avaros. Y cuando eso sucede viene la pobreza.
3. El dar fortalece mi fe. Prov. 11:25 dice: El alma generosa será prosperada; Y el que saciare, él también será saciado. Cuando doy se fortalece mi fe porque le creo a Dios y creo que él es quien me sustenta. Juan 6:5-13 vemos un milagro tremendo que ocurrió cuando un niño le creyó a Jesús. Dice la Biblia que este muchacho le trajo al Señor lo único que tenía: 5 panes y dos peces. Quien podría pretender hacer algo con tan poco!! Pero cuando vienes con actitud correcta delante del Señor y le das a él lo poco que tienes, Él lo bendice y lo multiplica para bendecir a miles. Tal vez a ese niño lo habían mandado a comprar y eso era lo que él su familia comerían ese día. No lo sabemos, pero sí sabemos que gracias a la fe de ese muchacho 5 mil hombres sin contar mujeres y niños comieron ese día y aun sobró.
Conclusión: Si usted y yo queremos parecernos más a Dios, anhelamos la bendición y necesitamos que nuestra fe se fortalezca debemos aprender a valorar el dar. Sólo dando abrimos la mano de Dios. No trate de dar lo que no tiene ni desprecie lo que Dios le ha dado. Cuide su corazón de la avaricia y del egoísmo. 2 Cor. 9:10 dice:
Y el que da semilla al que siembra, y pan al que come,
proveerá y multiplicará vuestra sementera,
y aumentará los frutos de vuestra justicia.
